Cheraw Healthcare is seeking a certified nursing assistant to provide patient care in a long-term care setting. The role requires active SC CNA certification and good standing status.

You will work night shifts 10:30 PM–7:00 AM, perform resident rounds, assist with hygiene, grooming, feeding, and safety tasks, and document care activities as required. Responsibilities include following the chain of command, maintaining cleanliness, reporting incidents, and ensuring residents are properly cared

Aufgaben

• Shift starts 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Check group assignment at main desk and feeding list.
• Go to assigned hall; learn residents' status with outgoing shift.
• Check shower list and residents assigned to get up.
• Give showers as scheduled; inform nurse if refused.
• Residents should be groomed; clothes weather-appropriate; nails clean; shave as needed.
• Offer resident snack if awake.
• Provide ice as needed.
• Report unusual incidents (falls, skin tears, bruises, behaviors).
• Keep rooms clean; turn and reposition residents as scheduled.
• Complete PCR books before end of shift; sign shower and snack lists.
• Keep closets clean; clean wheelchair and gerichairs; take assigned chairs for washing on Friday.
• Label and bag residents' personal belongings.
• Check vital signs weekly and PRN.
• Take dirty barrel out and bring empty barrel for next shift.
• Keep noise down; follow chain of command.

QUALIFICATIONS: NURSING ASSISTANT CERTIFIED BY THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA, ACTIVE AND IN GOOD STANDING.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. SHIFT STARTS AT 10:30 PM TO 7:00 AM.
2. CHECK GROUP ASSIGNMENT AT MAIN DESK. ALSO CHECK THE FEEDING LIST.
3. GO DIRECTLY TO YOUR ASSIGNED HALL, MAKE ROUNDS WITH THE OUTGOING SHIFT TO LEARN ABOUT YOUR RESIDENTS' STATUS, MAKE SURE RESIDENTS ARE DRY PRIOR TO ACCEPTING THE ASSIGNMENT, REPORT TO YOUR NURSE IF ANY PROBLEM ARISES.
4. CHECK YOUR SHOWER LIST AND RESIDENTS ASSIGNED TO GET UP ON YOUR SHIFT.
5. GIVE SHOWERS AS SCHEDULED. IF RESIDENT REFUSED SHOWER, LET THE NURSE KNOW.
6. RESIDENTS SHOULD BE PROPERLY GROOMED, CLOTHES SHOULD BE MATCHED AND ACCORDING TO WEATHER, NAILS ARE CLEAN, SHAVE AS NEEDED.
7. OFFER RESIDENT SNACK IF AWAKE.
8. GIVE ICE.
9. REPORT ANY UNUSUAL INCIDENTS SUCH AS FALLS, SKIN TEARS, BRUISES, DIFFERENT BEHAVIORS AND ANYTHING THAT IS NOT NORMAL FOR RESIDENT.
10. MAKE SURE TO KEEP YOUR ROOMS CLEANED.
11. TURN AND REPOSITION RESIDENTS AS SCHEDULED.
12. PCR BOOKS SHOULD BE COMPLETED BEFORE THE END OF THE SHIFT; SHOWER AND SNACK LISTS SHOULD BE SIGNED.
13. KEEP ALL CLOSETS CLEANED.
14. CLEAN WHEELCHAIRS, GERICHAIRS AS NEEDED. TAKE ASSIGNED WHEELCHAIRS FOR WASHING ON FRIDAY MORNINGS.
15. KEEP RESIDENTS' PERSONAL BELONGINGS LABELLED AND BAGGED.
16. CHECK VITAL SIGNS WEEKLY AND PRN.
17. TAKE DIRTY BARREL OUT AND BRING AN EMPTY BARREL FOR NEXT SHIFT.
18. KEEP NOISE DOWN AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.
19. FOLLOW CHAIN OF COMMAND.
