Job summary

Sherman Oaks Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to support the Telemetry Department, providing basic nursing care and assisting with activities of daily living under RN supervision. This full-time night-shift role offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package as part of the Total Rewards program.

Eligible candidates hold an active CNA certificate, current BLS, and knowledge of medical terminology; six months acute care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
• Current BLS upon hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• The CNA in the Telemetry Department assists with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care.
• Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, maintains a safe environment for non-critical patients.
• Supports the care team by ensuring patient comfort and timely response to call bells.
• Contributes to the hospital’s patient safety and quality care goals.

The CNA in the Telemetry Department is a certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $25.52 to $29.10. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
