Job summary

Chino Valley Healthcare Center in Pomona, CA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with experience to join our Nursing team on the AM shift. This full-time role requires an active CNA certification and at least one year sub-acute experience.

You will read, write, and speak English, maintain good health to assist residents with daily living activities, provide compassionate care, and work under supervision of a licensed nurse to ensure quality patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification with completion of a CNA program.
• Minimum one year of Sub-Acute experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including booster(s).
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Good physical health to lift/move patients, and/or stand for long periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Compassion towards residents and their families.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care for residents under the supervision of a licensed and/or registered nurse.
• Assistance with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, grooming, dining, recreational activities, and outings.
• Organizational skills are required to keep the unit running smoothly.
• Answer call lights to determine and meet resident needs.
• Use proper body mechanics when necessary.
• Perform and document rounds of patients and report any changes.
• Provide companionship and excellent care to patients.
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment.
• Prioritizes patient/resident activities based on current care needs.
• Proper lifting and transitioning residents from wheelchair to bed, bed to chair, etc.
• Transporting residents to dining area for meals and activities.
• Be punctual and professional.
• Other duties as assigned.

Depending on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, regularly scheduled work shift, knowledge, skills, experience, and expertise.
