Job Summary and Qualifications

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides high-quality, patient-centered care by performing delegated basic nursing functions and activities of daily living under RN supervision. The PCT assists in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment, complies with hospital policies, and observes nursing regulations.

Responsibilities include:
  • Implementing nursing care plans, performing direct and indirect patient care.
  • Recording patient information, vital signs, and other data.
  • Assisting with mobility, specimen collection, activities of daily living, and discharges.
  • Serving as Monitor/Telemetry Tech as needed.
  • Engaging in evidence-based practices to improve patient experience.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Experience: None required; 1+ years in acute care preferred.
  • License: Current Nurse Aide I listing with the Nurse Aide Registry.
  • Certification: Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment.
