Position Overview

Provides direct patient care under the guidance of Registered Nurses or healthcare professionals, adhering to regulations and policies of Bon Secours Mercy Health.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic patient care including comfort, vital signs, hygiene, and mobility.
• Act as liaison between patient and nurse, reporting changes or concerns.
• Deliver high-quality customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
• Communicate professionally in verbal and written forms.

Qualifications

• Prefer recent experience in acute or long-term care settings.
• Ability to communicate clearly and follow healthcare team directions.
• Knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and clerical tasks.
• Compassionate approach with accountability for assigned tasks.
• Ability to escalate concerns appropriately.

Certifications & Education

• Preferred BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• State certification or eligibility within 120 days of employment.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
