Pay Grade: $16.00

Allegria Village is a senior living community in Dearborn, offering Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing on one campus.

We are currently hiring Certified Nursing Assistants for our Skilled Nursing Facility.

Shifts Available: Part-time and full-time roles on morning (6am-2:30pm) and night (10pm-6:30am) shifts.

Education/Certification: Must have Certified Nursing Assistant certification from the State Board of Nursing.

Job Responsibilities include:

  1. Implement individualized resident care plans effectively.
  2. Respond promptly to resident requests.
  3. Maintain accurate and complete documentation in resident notes.
  4. Conduct skin assessments and report changes immediately.
  5. Provide baths and care in a calm, professional manner.
  6. Complete assignments timely and competently.
  7. Handle residents’ rooms and property carefully.
  8. Make resident rounds at least every 2 hours for toileting, repositioning, and hydration assessment.
  9. Display courtesy and respect at all times.
  10. Manage difficult or emotional resident situations appropriately.
  11. Maintain resident confidentiality and privacy.
  12. Respond to assistance requests and escort residents as needed.
  13. Exude a pleasant persona and genuine caring attitude.
  14. Ensure competence in required skills and safe transfer techniques.
  15. Assist with mobility, proper positioning, and range of motion exercises.
  16. Follow all infection control and safety policies.
  17. Provide complete shift reports and participate in team problem-solving.
  18. Communicate effectively and act as a role model for new staff.
  19. Use equipment safely, including gait belts, and report malfunctions.
  20. Practice time management, be organized, and attend ongoing training.
  21. Display ID badge at all times and be flexible with assignments.
  22. Maintain professional certification and accept constructive feedback.
  23. Adhere to scheduling, attendance, and documentation standards.
  24. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of CNA experience in a Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care Facility.
  • Experience working with seniors preferred.
  • Ability to make decisions in residents' best interest, stay calm, and handle multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication skills and good judgment.

Physical Demands:

  • Must lift at least 40 lbs.
  • Ability to walk, stand, push, stoop, bend, and stretch for most of the shift.
  • Visual and auditory abilities required.
