Qualifications

Schedule:

32 Hours, Nights, Every Other Weekend, Part-Time, Benefit Eligible

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the assigned Registered Nurse, performs various direct patient care activities to support the personal needs and comforts of patients. Provides care tailored to different age groups from infants to the elderly, and considers specific needs related to impairments such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, language barriers, and potential victims of abuse. Incorporates knowledge of patient rights, exceptional care, and the hospital's values and mission into job duties. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Effective communication skills in English with staff and patients.
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests to ensure timely, exceptional patient care.
• Compassionate, empathetic, and responsive to diverse patient needs.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year experience as a nursing assistant or enrollment in a nursing program with completed "Fundamentals of Nursing I & II."

Certification/Licensure:

Valid Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant license or proof of enrollment in an accredited nursing school with completed "Fundamentals of Nursing I & II."

Software/Hardware:

Computer experience preferred. CPR certification required.
