Valley Health in Winchester, VA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Pulmonary Care department, Day shift. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, you will perform routine personal care duties for patients and help maintain a safe environment.

This role requires Virginia/West Virginia CNA registry, BLS, and AHA healthcare provider certifications; new hires must obtain AHA prior to orientation. High school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Registry of the Board of Nursing as a Certified Nurse Aide required.
• Must be listed on the relevant Registry of the Board of Nursing as a CNA in Virginia and/or West Virginia.
• BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association Healthcare Provider required.
• New hires must have AHA certification prior to completion of orientation.
• Must understand basic principles of human growth and development.
• Competent to interact with patients according to their age.
• Reliable means of phone communication with hospital.
• Must obtain Valley Health provided annual flu vaccination if employed in Long-Term Care areas.
