STGi is seeking a Part-Time Night Shift Certified Nursing Assistant to provide services to our Georgia War Veterans Home.

Job Summary:

The general duty of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is to provide residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan and as directed by supervisors.

Essential Functions:

• Record entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc., in an informative and descriptive manner.
• Report changes in the resident’s condition to the Charge Nurse/Nurse Supervisor promptly.
• Weigh residents as per their care plan.
• Report significant weight changes to the Charge Nurse/Nurse Supervisor.
• Measure and document residents’ vital signs and food intake.
• Maintain residents’ water pitchers and assist with meal preparations.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and monitor their response to care plans.
• Support residents with mental, psychosocial, and trauma-related conditions as per facility policies.
• Assist with exams, tests, procedures, and transportation to appointments.
• Support residents with bowel and bladder functions, personal grooming, and mobility.
• Perform restorative procedures and provide non-pharmacological pain interventions.
• Observe and report skin integrity issues and injuries.
• Participate in shift reports and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.

Required Experience:

• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Ability to assess patient conditions and react swiftly in emergencies.
• Knowledge of customer service principles for an elderly population.
• Effective communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, EMRs, and computer use.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed CNA in Georgia and competent to provide nursing services.
