Job summary

The San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living in San Francisco is seeking an LVN staff development coordinator to evaluate and implement the Home's education and quality improvement programs in line with mission, laws, and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating staff education, maintaining documentation, providing clinical instruction, and driving continuous quality improvements across nursing staff and CNAs.

Qualifications

  • Current California RN or LVN license.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • One year of direct patient care in a long-term care setting plus one year of experience planning educational programs OR two years of licensed nurse experience with at least one year in direct patient care in a long-term care setting.
  • Within six months of employment and prior to teaching, must also complete 24 hours of continuing education in educational program planning, implementation, and evaluation from an accredited or approved source

Nestled in San Francisco's Excelsior neighborhood on a nine-acre campus, the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living (SFCJL) is a center of excellence in providing a continuum of care. This includes the Frank Residences, which offer luxurious assisted living and memory care services; the Jewish Home and Rehabilitation Center, featuring long-term skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation, and an acute psychiatric unit specializing in mental healthcare for older adults (age 55 and over); and the Jewish Home and Senior Living Foundation.

Position Overview

The LVN staff development coordinator is responsible for evaluating and implementing the Jewish Home's education and quality improvement program in accordance with the mission and strategic goals of the Home, federal and state laws and regulations, and accreditation standards.

Essential Functions
