Critical Illness Recovery Hospital, located on the 4th floor of Riverside Regional Medical Center

Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Type: PRN / Per Diem / As Needed

Hours: Per Diem / As Needed

Pay: $24.00 per hour

At Select Medical’s Critical Illness Recovery Hospitals, you will care for the most vulnerable patients in your community. We treat chronically and critically ill or post-ICU patients requiring extended hospital care. We employ over 50,000 staff nationwide, providing quality care to approximately 70,000 patients daily across our four divisions.

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing using basin-less products, oral hygiene, feeding, and hair care.
• Respond promptly to patient needs, performing services that promote physical well-being.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers; assist in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep patient rooms clean and organized, including making beds.
• Manage unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.

Qualifications

Candidates should demonstrate understanding of patient needs, ensuring patients feel informed, understood, and heard. A passion for providing high-quality care and problem-solving skills are essential in this dynamic environment.

Minimum requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant, or experience in related fields such as medical assisting or active enrollment in nursing programs.

Nursing students may be considered as nurse assistants if approved by the State Practice Act.
