Job summary

Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard, NC, is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support Registered Nurses with hands-on care, vital signs, mobility, and daily needs, contributing to a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

You’ll collaborate with the nursing team to monitor conditions and carry out care plans while communicating kindly with patients and families. No travel is required; CNA certification and CPR readiness within 30 days are expected.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required or in progress.
• BLS/CPR readiness within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort to support smooth care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes and skin protection.
• Keep patient areas clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.

Job Summary and Qualifications

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
