Job summary

Care New England Health System is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Kent Hospital float pool in Warwick, RI. This part-time night shift position will work in the Kent Hospital unit with opportunities to support patient care under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include providing general patient care, monitoring intake and output, taking vital signs, assisting with personal hygiene, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical training and more than six months job-related experience or equivalent.
• RI State Nursing Assistant license is also required.

Responsibilities

• Provide general patient care and performs routine treatments and procedures as directed by the Registered Nurse.
• Provide care, assisting with personal hygiene to promote patient痴 comfort and well being.
• Check and record intake and output as ordered.
• Take and record patient痴 vital signs and other measurements as indicated.
• Give enemas, reinforce simple non-sterile dressings, apply binders, collect specimens, apply heat or cold devices and perform other routine tasks.
• Assist the RN in caring for seriously ill patients or in complicated treatments or procedures.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment with well-stocked supplies and functioning equipment.
• Maintain patient痴 medical records in an orderly manner and document all care provided and significant information, legibly, accurately and completely.
• Observe assigned patients and report any patient care problem, change in patient condition or unexpected occurrences to RN/Team Leader.
• Maintain current knowledge of specialty by attending seminars and inservices.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Primary Function
