Recover-Care Heartland in Gardner, KS is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide routine nursing care under the direction of nursing leadership. The role includes preparing residents for sessions, assisting with hygiene, and ensuring comfort and safety while following infection control policies.

The position requires CNA certification, fluency in English, and a patient, cheerful demeanor with a genuine interest in residents’ well-being.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA certification.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm for residents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare residents for therapy, activities, physician visits, religious services, etc., including transporting residents to/from activities.
• Answer residents’ call lights promptly.
• Attend in-service educational programs, on-the-job training, and meetings as directed.
• Assist residents with proper hygiene.
• Bathed residents as assigned and in accordance with facility procedures (encourage showers and other self-help activities).
• Follow infection control procedures in accordance with facility policy when isolation techniques are necessary.
• Chart required information every shift pertaining to the CNA role.
• Present professional image to consumers through dress, behavior and speech.
• Adhere toCompany Standards for resolving consumer concerns.
• Ensure that all consumer/resident rights are protected.

CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As a certified nursing assistant (CNA) you are responsible for providing routine nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures and as may be directed by the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses or Administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have certification as a certified nursing assistant (CNA).


• Ability to read, write and speak the English language.


• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning.

GENERAL DUTIES
