Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC, is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT)/Certified Nursing Assistant to join our collaborative nursing team. You will assist with daily patient needs, vital signs, mobility, and personal care, while supporting RNs in implementing care plans in a safe environment.

We value empathy, teamwork, and excellence in patient care. CNAs must have NC CNA certification and BLS within 30 days of start.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in North Carolina.
• BLS required within 30 days of employment start date.
• Ability to support RNs and patient care plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort to support smooth care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes and skin protection.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be a vital part of our collaborative nursing team, supporting Registered Nurses in providing hands‑on care and helping create a safe, welcoming environment for patients. What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (CNA) Certified Nursing Assistant in North Carolina
