Description

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing or Resident Services Manager, the CNA provides direct care to residents, assisting with daily activities and supporting their well-being. May work in Personal Care or Skilled Care units.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supports: Assisting residents with daily living activities such as hygiene, grooming, and mobility.
  2. Assists: Light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean environment.
  3. Prepares: Meals and beverages for residents, assisting in dining services.
  4. Engages: Communicating effectively with residents and families, supporting emotional well-being.
  5. Promotes: Resident participation in activities, assisting with activity delivery.
  6. Maintains: Up-to-date knowledge on resident care procedures.
  7. Specializes: If assigned to Skilled Care, provides specialized services like elimination assistance, using lifts, and clinical duties.
  8. Provides: Administrative support, including record keeping and care planning.
  9. Performs: Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Georgia CNA certification
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English
  • Experience in retirement community preferred
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities required for the role
