Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant-Medication- LTC - MID - Long Term Care role is responsible for administering medications accurately and in a timely manner to residents. The Certified Nursing Assistant-Medications - Long Term Care completes a 120-hour medication course and, upon passing the state exam, is permitted to administer medications in a healthcare facility under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state license as a Certified Nursing Assistant and as a Certified Nursing Assistant-Medications (CNA-M) are required. Current applicable state license as a Certified Medication Technician is required. Current BLS certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
  3. Experience: One year of experience in Medical Surgical Nursing, Long Term Care (including Dementia Care and/or Skilled Care), or Home Care setting is preferred.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements: N/A
