Job summary

Hcshiring in Presque Isle, Maine is seeking a Part-time CNA Med-Tech (CNA-M) to join a clinical team. The role involves administering medications under supervision and delivering compassionate, resident-centered care.

You will monitor vital signs, document treatments, and help with inventory and process improvements. Strong communication and familiarity with an EMR system are preferred; new grads welcome.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of a state-approved CNA program and active on the Maine CNA Registry.
• Successful completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant-Medication training program.
• Must be able to interact with our computer-based EMR system.

Responsibilities

• Medication Administration: Administer routinely scheduled oral and topical medications according to physician orders via scanning per policy to assigned residents.
• Monitoring & Documentation: Monitor and record vital signs per physician orders and maintain accurate documentation of all medications and treatments.
• Communication & Safety: Report any unusual or unwanted medication side effects, outdate medications, or projected shortages to the Charge Nurse immediately.
• Inventory & Process Support: Assist the Charge Nurse with returning, re-ordering, and destroying medications per facility policy, and make suggestions to resolve problems or streamline the medication system.

About the Role

As part of a strong clinical team, providing amazing care and service to our residents is the primary responsibility of our CNA Med-Tech. The purpose of this position is to administer medications to each resident, ensuring they receive the necessary care and services to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being through comprehensive assessment and plans of care. Working under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse and reporting to the Charge Nurse, you will maintain clean equipment and report all observations to ensure optimal resident health.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High School Graduate or GED.

• Licensure & Certification: Must be a graduate of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program and active on the Maine CNA Registry, plus successful completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant-Medication training program.
