Mercyhealth is seeking a CNA to provide hands-on patient care under RN supervision in a 24-hour-per-week, day-shift role in Illinois. The position involves vital signs, monitoring, documentation, and assisting with catheter care, bladder scanning, and remote telemetry.
Responsibilities include answering call lights, maintaining clean environments, stocking supplies, training new partners, and reporting patient status to supervising RNs. Certification and CPR/BLS within 90 days are required.
Provides hands‑on patient care and support, including taking vital signs, monitoring blood glucose, bladder scanning, telemetry, and assisting with catheters, drains, and other medical devices under RN supervision. Responds to patient needs, documents care, maintains supplies and a clean environment, floats between units as needed, and helps train new team members.
