Schedule: 24 Hours, Nights, Every Other Weekend, Part-Time, Benefit Eligible
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the assigned Registered Nurse, performs various direct patient care activities to address the personal needs and comforts of patients. Provides care tailored to age groups from infants to elderly, and accommodates specific needs related to impairments such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, language barriers, and victims of abuse. Incorporates our commitment to patient rights, exceptional care, and the hospital's values and mission into job duties. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
Knowledge of medical terminology is required. Effective communication skills in English with staff and patients are required. Must be able to prioritize multiple requests to ensure timely, exceptional patient care. Must demonstrate compassion, empathy, and responsiveness to diverse patient needs.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience as a nursing assistant or enrollment in a nursing program with completed "Fundamentals of Nursing I & II" courses.
Certification/Licensure: Valid Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant license or proof of enrollment in an accredited nursing program with completed "Fundamentals of Nursing I & II" courses.
Software/Hardware: Computer experience preferred. CPR certification required.
