Encino Hospital Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support the MST department in a 150-bed hospital in Encino, CA. You will assist with daily living activities, basic nursing care, and maintain a safe environment under RN supervision.

Requirements include a current CNA certificate, BLS, knowledge of medical terminology, and 6 months of acute care experience preferred. BVP certificate within 6 months may be required.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire.
• Current BLS certification upon hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current per facility requirement.

Responsibilities

The CNA in the MST department is a certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

• 1. Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
• 2. Current BLS upon hire and maintain current.
• 3. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• 4. Minimum six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status, i.e. full-time or part-time. The current compensation range for this role is $23.00 to $36.37. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
