Job description

Job Title: CNA - Medical Surgical Unit G5

Location: Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center

Work Type: Full Time

Hours Per Week: 36 Hours

Work Schedule: 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 (payable in two installments; first half with initial paycheck, second after 6 months)

Summary:

Performs secretarial duties with knowledge of medical terminology and hospital procedures, including scheduling, billing, and managing medical records.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate assigned unit activities.
2. Manage patient records, including assembling and filing information.
3. Process physician orders, transcribe and enter into computer.
4. Coordinate safe transport of patients and items.
5. Develop professional learning needs.
6. Maintain a safe environment following policies; report hazards or violations.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.
