Job Details

• 72 hours / 2 weeks
• Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM or 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Weekend and Holiday Rotation

Overview

The Certified Nursing Assistant in the Float Pool at Javon Bea Hospital - Riverside cares for patients in the hospital setting under the direction of nursing staff. Duties include supporting the nursing philosophy, which may involve working weekends, holidays, day, evening, night, and/or on-call hours. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care as assigned, following standards of care, policies, and procedures.
• Respond promptly to call lights.
• Document care provided according to standards.
• Maintain a clean environment and proper supplies.
• Float to various units based on patient care needs.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CNA program.
• Current CNA certification in the applicable state.
• Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.

Physical Demands

Frequent standing, walking, talking, hearing, and hand use. Occasionally sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, tasting, and smelling. Must be able to lift/move up to 100 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs frequently. Vision abilities include close, color, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
