POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant provides personal care for the patient and assists with activities of daily living. The CNA functions in a supportive relationship to professional disciplines and may function as an extension of these professional services with written instructions, appropriate supervision and specialized hospice training.
Experience Requirements
The CNA must have previous experience as a Nursing Assistant. Personal care experience is preferred. To be considered, the CNA cannot have a lapse of 24 consecutive months where the aide has not provided services for compensation on their record.
Education Requirements:
The CNA must have at least a certificate of completion from an approved Nurse Aide trainingProgram. In addition, registration is required by the appropriate Board of Nursing as a CertifiedNursing Assistant.
