Job summary

Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant for the overnight Medical ICU. You will contribute to compassionate, patient-centered care on a team known for low turnover and strong camaraderie.

The schedule is 7pm–7am, with focus on safety, documentation, and assisting nurses in caring for adults with acute medical needs. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, and NA I registration plus completion of the NAI

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience: One year preferred; long-term care or assisted living experience is required.
• Licensure/ Certification: Completion of NAI program; NA I listed on nurse aide registry; Medication Safety - AME; NC curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Support nursing care and patient documentation during the night shift.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure compassionate, safe care for acutely ill patients.

  • NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
• Additional Skills (preferred): Basic computer skills for documentation.
