Job Overview

At Medi Home Health and Hospice, part of the Medical Services of America family, we are seeking a dedicated Full‑Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Hospice Aide to provide compassionate care to patients in the Newport News area.

Compensation

Base pay range: $18.00/hr – $20.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care services including bathing, grooming, and oral hygiene.
• Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, and respiration).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients.
• Ensure proper nutrition and hydration, including meal preparation and feeding assistance.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the clinical team.
• Apply safety principles and proper body mechanics when assisting with mobility.
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations and follow established procedures.

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide certification in Virginia.
• At least 1 year of experience providing personal care (hospice or home health experience preferred).
• A compassionate and patient‑focused mindset.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
