Job summary

Blue Ridge Independence at Home, a program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our home care team. You will assist participants with daily living activities, support mealtimes, and help maintain a safe, dignified home environment.

We require a CNA license in good standing, CPR certification, a high school diploma, and at least one year of experience with older adults. A valid driver’s license and immunizations are also required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active, unencumbered CNA license in good standing and CPR certification.
• Minimum one year experience with older adults or those with complex care needs.
• Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before direct participant contact.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, eating, toileting).
• Provide feeding assistance during meals when necessary.
• Assist with laundry and light household tasks to maintain a safe environment.
• Safely help participants enter/exit program vehicles.
• Monitor and report changes in participants' conditions to nursing staff.
• Support a positive home environment and the participant's independence.

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our PACE Home Care team. In this role, you will provide essential care and assistance to participants in their homes, helping them maintain independence, comfort, and dignity. You will be an integral part of our care team, ensuring participants’ daily needs are met while fostering trust, safety, and respect.

What You’ll Do

• Assist participants with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, eating, toileting, hand and foot nail care).

• Support mealtime needs, including feeding assistance when necessary.

• Help with laundry and light household tasks to maintain a clean, safe environment.

• Safely assist participants entering and exiting program vehicles.

• Monitor and promptly report changes in participants’ conditions to nursing staff.

• Contribute to a positive, supportive home environment for each participant.

• Perform other care‑related duties as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Active, unencumbered CNA license in good standing and current CPR certification (required).
• Experience: Minimum one year working with older adults or individuals with complex care needs.
