The Certified Nursing Assistant provides personal care assistance and home support to maintain a clean, safe environment for elderly or convalescing patients, enabling them to remain in their own homes. They work in patient homes and facilities, interacting with residents, family members, and staff under all conditions. They communicate regularly with medical staff, nursing personnel, and other units, functioning under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and the Scheduling Coordinator.

Location: Haverford, PA

Schedule: Available Shifts are 4-11 pm, 7 days a week, with 10 am - 4 pm shifts on Saturday & Sunday

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Providing frail, ill, or immobile clients with assistance, companionship, and comfort
• Executing the patient care plan and communicating effectively with RN Case Manager
• Monitoring the physical, mental, and emotional conditions of clients and reporting changes
• Performing personal hygiene care and light housekeeping in the patient's living area
• Following nutritional guidelines, preparing meals, and assisting with eating and drinking
• Assisting with incontinence care and bathroom visits
• Running errands such as shopping for groceries and household items for the patient
• Helping clients move from beds to chairs or wheelchairs
• Accompanying clients on trips with prior approval
• Maintaining a clean, safe environment and documenting care using electronic systems
• Communicating scheduling needs promptly
• Administering medicines and treatments with prior approval and training

Requirements

• Effective reading, writing, and communication skills
• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant License in Pennsylvania
• Successful completion of a knowledge exam
• Strong organizational skills and compassionate attitude
• Ability to document accurately
• Home health experience preferred
• Proof of COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations or approved exemptions
• Driver's license and auto insurance if in a driver role
