Job summary

Tupper Lake Center for Nursing and Rehab in Tupper Lake, NY is seeking compassionate CNAs to join our team. Our 60-bed skilled nursing facility provides 24-hour care and is nestled in the Adirondack Park, offering a true home away from home for residents.

The Certified Nursing Assistant will deliver daily nursing care to residents per assessments and care plans under nurse direction, with NYS CNA requirements and active NYS Nurse Aide Registry essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with New York State law.
• Must be active/current on the NYS Nurse Aide Registry.
• Certification verified with NYS Nurse Aide Registry with no findings of abuse, mistreatment, neglect or misappropriation.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily nursing care and services to assigned residents per the resident's assessment and care plan or direction by the nurse.

Our facility provides 24-hour care along with many other services to ensure you or your loved one will receive the highest quality of care. Tupper Lake Center for Nursing and Rehab is an easily accessible 60 bed skilled nursing facility providing both long and short term care.

Certified Nursing Assistant

The Certified Nurse Assistant will provide to each of their assigned residents, daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan or direction by the nurse.

Educational Requirements/Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of New York State. (Free training is available)
• Must be active/current on the NYS Nurse Aide Registry.
• Must have certification verified with the NYS Nurse Aide Registry with no findings or convictions of resident abuse, mistreatment, neglect or misappropriation of resident property listed on the registry against the CNA.
• Be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
• Be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices.
• Be able to relay information concerning a resident's condition.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of other individuals in the workplace.
