Shift: 3 (1900-0730, 3 shifts/week, every third weekend, 2 holidays/year)

Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, provides delegated age-appropriate care in a culturally sensitive manner. The CNA assists patients with tasks related to basic nursing skills, personal care, and basic restorative services, as taught during CNA training or basic nursing courses at an accredited school. The CNA may be asked to provide continuous safety observation. This role reports to the Nurse Manager or Assistant Nurse Manager of the assigned unit and the RNs on duty during each shift. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification required, or current enrollment in a nursing program with documentation of successful completion of basic nursing courses and at least one acute care clinical rotation.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers or equivalent required within 90 days of hire.
