Location: US:WI:MILWAUKEE at our FROEDTERT HOSPITAL facility.

This job is ON-SITE.

FTE: 0.6

Shift: 3 (1900-0730, 2 shifts/week, every third weekend, 2 holidays/year)

Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, provides delegated age-appropriate care in a culturally and ethnically sensitive manner. The CNA assists patients with tasks outlined in their clinical competency assessment related to basic nursing skills, personal care, and basic restorative services. The CNA practices and performs what was taught during their CNA training and certification or learned during basic nursing courses at an accredited school for professional nurses. The CNA may be asked to provide continuous safety observation. This role reports to the Nurse Manager or Assistant Nurse Manager of the assigned unit and the RNs on duty each shift. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification required, or current enrollment in a nursing program with documentation of completion of basic nursing courses and at least one acute care clinical rotation.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification or equivalent required within 90 days of hire.
