Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, provides delegated, age-appropriate care in a culturally sensitive manner. Responsibilities include assisting patients with basic nursing skills, personal care, and restorative services, as outlined in their clinical competency assessment. The CNA performs tasks learned during training or nursing courses and may be asked to provide continuous safety observation. Reports to the Nurse Manager or Assistant Nurse Manager and RNs on duty.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification required, or current enrollment in a nursing program with documentation of completed basic nursing courses and clinical rotation
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent within 90 days of hire
