Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the metro Atlanta PCS pilot. The role focuses on patient comfort, personal care, and coordinating with the RN supervisor to maintain high-quality service.

Responsibilities include vital signs, hygiene, safety, and accurate visit documentation; experience with Matrix Care is helpful. An active CNA license and high school diploma are required for eligibility.

Qualifications

• Attend a minimum of 12 hours of annual in-service education and provide documentation to the agency.
• Attend team meetings and staff development in-services and trainings.
• Communicate well with patient and family members, providing a warm and friendly greeting and approachable attitude.
• Respond to changes and take on additional projects as assigned.
• Participate in agency surveys and required reports.
• Pursue continuing education to stay current in the field.
• Maintain current license/certification as required.
• Honor patient rights to fair and equitable treatment, privacy and civil rights.
• Follow established safety regulations for all tasks and equipment.

Description

JOB PURPOSE:

As part of PruittHealth’s (PH) top initiatives, a new division of Personal Care Services (PCS), PH Family First, is being piloted metro Atlanta market. PH Family First is looking to hire a CNA to join a winning team, to assist the patient and caregiver with personal hygiene needs to increase the level of comfort to the patient.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide optimal comfort care, dignity and privacy for the patient
• Obtain vital signs of patient(s) assigned
• Follow procedures for handling medical emergencies or other incidents that affect the delivery of services
• Report patient progress and problems to supervisory personnel
• Observe and report any changes in condition, including skin integrity
• Provide comfort care, companion, shopping/errands, meal prepping and related tasks, housekeeping, appointment scheduling, medication reminders services
• Assist with patient transfer, ambulation, and exercise
• Provide personal hygiene to patient(s), including bathing, shaving, oral hygiene, skin care, dressing, toileting, and hair care
• Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment for the patient
• Coordinate care with agency RN Supervisor
• Maintain accurate and current records of visits
• Perform all other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

• Maintain current license/certification as required
• Honor patient’s rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights, including the right to wage complaints
• Comply with corporate compliance program
• Report job-related functions/tasks that involve occupational hazards, including exposure to blood and body fluids, as necessary
• Follow established safety regulations, including fire protection and prevention, smoking regulations, infection control, etc
• Follow established safety procedures when performing tasks and/or working with equipment
• Ability to use Matrix Care documenting system, after receiving training

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• A minimum of a high scholl diploma or it's equavilent and an active, current, unrestricted CNA certification in the state of practice

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• One (1) year of experience working with adults in a healthcare setting

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:

• Current registration in State Nurse Aide Registry as a Certified Nurse Aide
• Valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance
