Job summary

Twin Cities Orthopedics, an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) at our Blaine and Eagan locations. You will deliver quality patient care under RN supervision and support the surgical floor team in a fast-paced clinic/surgery center setting.

The role requires a CNA certification, 3–5 years of surgical floor nursing assistance experience, and active CPR certification, with duties

Qualifications

  • CNA certification required and CPR certification current.
  • 3–5 years of surgical floor nursing assistance experience.
  • Ability to comply with policies, laws and attend required trainings.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with physician-ordered treatments under RN supervision.
  • Attend to patients' personal care and activities of daily living.
  • Coordinate with medical staff regarding patient condition.
  • Report changes in patient status to nursing staff.
  • Assist RN with diagnostic tests and specimen collection.
  • Maintain cleanliness and supply inventory in patient rooms.
  • Assist transfers and ambulation of patients.
  • Prepare rooms for admissions and discharges.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Role Overview

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for the delivery of optimum quality care to patients while in the Excel Program.

This is a casual position working straight nights 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM out of our Blaine & Eagan locations.

Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Functions:
  • Assist with treatments ordered by physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Tend to patients regarding personal care and activities of daily living
  • Coordinates with medical professionals regarding the patient's condition
  • Reports finding or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff
  • Assists the RN with diagnostic tests
  • Collects specimens and delivers them to the laboratory department
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and supply inventory in patent room
  • Assist with transfers and ambulation of patients
  • Turnover rooms to support patient discharges and admissions
  • Any and all other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • CNA certification
  • 3-5 years of surgical floor nursing assistance experience
  • Current CPR certification is required.

  • Travel independently throughout the clinic, office or surgery center (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, standing, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be required
  • Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlines
  • Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner
  • Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations
  • Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Understand and execute a variety of instructions
  • Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Travel to other work locations, if required

  • Actual starting pay will vary based on education, skills, and experience.

Working Conditions:
  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds independently and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, and move continuously throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to frequently perform physical activities such as pushing, pulling, and reaching.
  • Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents.
  • Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly.
  • Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer).
