Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing (DON) and the Resident Care Manager (RCM), the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing the highest level of direct care and support to residents in accordance with state laws and organizational guidelines. As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the CNA responds to the unique needs of each resident while assisting in meeting their individual goals.

Education and/or Experience
Successful completion of an accredited CNA program.
Minimum of 6 months’ experience, preferably in pediatrics or long-term care.
Strong desire to work with medically fragile children.
Qualifications
Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to relate to children/adolescents and demonstrate interest in working with the physically impaired. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Essential Functions
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Florida CNA license.
Valid Florida driver’s license.
HIV, CPR, and First Aid certifications.
Confidentiality agreement required.
Language Skills
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
