Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated nursing assistant responsible for providing routine nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures. The role involves working under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator to ensure the highest quality of resident care at all times.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a certified nursing assistant.
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a CNA or clinical experience during a nursing assistant certification program.
• Sincere desire to serve the ill, aged, and infirm.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Ability to deal tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, and the public.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with others.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, enthusiasm, and the ability to handle residents at various maturity levels.
• Good general health and emotional stability.
• Ability to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and sometimes hostile individuals.

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform all assigned duties following facility policies, nursing care procedures, and safety regulations.
• Conduct resident rounds at the start of each shift and every two hours to administer care.
• Verify resident identity before providing care or serving food to ensure proper treatment.
• Report missing ID bands immediately.
• Make beds, clean bedside and overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are cleaned, filled with fresh water, and within residents' reach.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisory staff.
