Job summary

Huntington Beach Hospital in Huntington Beach, CA, seeks a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant for the MST department to provide basic nursing care and assist with daily living activities in a safe, patient-centered environment.

Under RN supervision, you will help maintain a clean, safe unit and support non-critical patients. Current CNA and BLS credentials required; six months' acute care experience preferred and knowledge of medical terminology is expected.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
• Current BLS upon hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

The CNA in the MST department is a certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

• Minimum six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
