Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Fargo is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. You will assist with daily living activities and comfort measures, following hospital policies and safety guidelines.

Preferred candidates hold a CNA certification and current BLS. Prior hospital or rehab unit experience is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; CNA certification as required by state; current BLS certification.
• Experience: none required; 2–3 years in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision of an RN or LPN.
• Assist with activities of daily living and basic patient needs.
• Follow PAM Health policies, procedures and guidelines in all tasks.

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for performing various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Performs patient care activities within the limits of the position. Does not administer medications or therapy. Does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Job duties are accomplished in a manner consistent with the policies, procedures and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

• Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) where required by state where the hospital resides. Current BLS certification is required.


• Experience: None required. A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.
