Job summary

Signature HealthCARE Ridgely Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct resident care under licensed supervision. You will support ADLs, monitor residents, and contribute to a safe, respectful environment aligned with facility policies.

Qualified CNAs must hold an active CNA certification in the state, possess strong communication skills, and work well with a nursing team.

Qualifications

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state where the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under licensed staff.
• Customer service oriented with ability to work well under pressure.
• Flexible and adaptable to change.
• Ability to work independently with integrity and ability to work with stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
• Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

How You Will Make a Difference
