We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. As a CNA, you will provide essential care and support to residents, assisting them with activities of daily living and promoting their comfort and well-being.
Essential Duties:
- Provide residents' care (grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care, etc.) daily and as needed
- Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in the resident's room
- Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics
- Record resident vital signs, weights, measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information as assigned
- Routinely turn and position residents as necessary. Prepare each resident’s room with necessary items such as blankets, pillows, medical equipment, and toiletries
- Ensure a report has been given regarding residents at the beginning of each shift
- Respond promptly and courteously to call lights/buzzers, considering each as an emergency until answered
- Seek assistance from the charge nurse when unsure of an assignment, procedure, or situation
- Provide care that protects and promotes resident rights, dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and active participation
- Offer and respect resident choices and handle all resident property with respect
- Refer to residents by proper names unless otherwise requested, avoiding pet names
- Observe and immediately report unusual occurrences or significant changes in resident’s condition to Charge Nurse, ADON, or DON
Work Experience Requirements:
- Certified Nurses Aide License and current CPR certification
- Prior experience in personal care in a healthcare setting preferred
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills
- Highest level of professionalism, confidentiality
- Enthusiasm and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate sound judgment
- Maintain good relationships with residents and co-workers
- Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, kneeling, and sitting for long periods
- Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned
