Job summary

Pennswood Village in Newtown, PA is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for Personal Care to join our team on a part-time basis. You will assist residents with daily living activities, monitor health, and document care.

Qualifications include PA CNA certification, high school diploma, and ability to obtain Medication Administration certification within 30 days. Excellent teamwork and adherence to policies are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility).
• Administer medications safely and accurately according to physician orders and policies.
• Observe residents and report changes to the nursing team.
• Document care and communicate with nurses and healthcare professionals.
• Support individualized care plans as part of an interdisciplinary team.

What You’ll Do

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and other personal care needs.
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with physician orders and established policies.
• Observe residents and report changes in condition to the nursing team.
• Support individualized care plans as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Accurately document resident care and medication administration and communicate effectively with nurses and other healthcare professionals.
• Promote resident safety, comfort, dignity, and independence.
• Follow established nursing policies and procedures while providing high-quality, person-centered care.

Position Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Pennsylvania Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Medication Administration certification, or the bility to successfully complete Pennswood's DHS-approved Medication Administration Training Program within the first 30 days of employment (training provided by Pennswood Village.)
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral instructions.
• Previous related experience preferred.
• Able to meet the physical demands of the position, i.e., bending, lifting a minimum of 20 lbs., transferring of patients.
