Overview

Works under the supervision of Nursing Manager, Supervisor, RN, LPN and is ultimately responsible to the Director and the Assistant Director of Nursing, as applicable. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs tasks essential to the direct care of the resident according to facility policy and procedures.

What You Will Do

• Assist residents with hygiene, appearance, safety, and nutritional needs, ensuring dignity and privacy.
• Provide resident care to maintain or improve their functional status, and document care accurately in EMR.
• Follow universal precautions, infection control, sanitation, and safety standards.

Requirements

• Diploma from an accredited Nursing Assistant/Aid program required, especially for new grads within 120 days of completion.
• CPR/BLS certification (within 30 days of hire) required. First Aid (FA) certification (within 30 days of hire) required.
• VA C.NA license or compact license required, or eligibility for licensure. Verification required for new graduates without a license within 120 days of graduation.
