Summary

Provides supportive and functional care to residents in a compassionate environment, following established community care procedures as directed by nursing leadership. Works as part of an interdisciplinary team that emphasizes resident-directed care.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Maintain residents' comfort; provide physical care and assistance with activities of daily living; respond to call lights and requests; report observations to the nurse.
  2. Handle personal care needs promptly; support residents' dignity by encouraging independence.
  3. Observe residents for changing needs and conditions; report findings to nursing staff.
  4. Participate in care/service planning to enhance residents' quality of life.
  5. Assist during mealtimes and feed residents requiring full assistance.
  6. Build meaningful relationships with residents and families; provide compassionate support.
  7. Support residents' involvement in daily decision-making and activities.
  8. Assist with therapies and treatments under licensed staff's supervision.
  9. Document care in clinical records accurately.
  10. Maintain a clean, safe environment.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Current CNA certification in Missouri and Illinois.
  • Eligibility or enrollment in Pennsylvania CNA registry within 120 days of training completion.
  • Desire to work in a person-centered care team.
  • Effective communication skills with residents.
  • Previous experience in direct resident care preferred.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Must be able to stand, walk, handle objects, communicate effectively; lift up to 50 lbs.; work in a well-lit, ventilated environment; and work beyond normal hours when needed. Exposure to chemicals, infectious diseases, and emotionally upset individuals may occur. Reasonable accommodations are available.

Pay & Benefits

Pay grade: 08, $15.00 - $23.30/hour with shift differentials. Benefits include PTO, retirement, education assistance, wellness programs, and more, varying by employment status.
