Job summary

Park Place Health and Wellness Center, an Assisted Living Community in St. John, IN, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for Part Time, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

Day shift; must be able to work every other weekend as part of our Providence Life Services family. The essential duties include assisting residents with dressing, bathing, toileting, mobility and transfers, reminding medications, making beds, responding to call lights, and documenting care.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Indiana.
• Long-term care experience is a plus.
• Pass a physical, drug screen, background check, and reference check.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with dressing, bathing, toileting, walking, and transferring.
• Remind residents about medications and keep track of administration.
• Make beds and respond to call lights.
• Document care provided and report changes to the team.

Summary of essential job functions:

The primary role for this position will work closely with fellow staff members to provide assistance and care to our residents in accordance with their needs. Typical activities that you will assist our residents with include, but are not limited to, dressing, bathing, toileting, walking, and transferring. Additional job responsibilities include but are not limited to reminding of medications, making beds, responding to call lights, and documentation of your work.

Requirements

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Indiana.
• Previous experience in long-term care is a plus but not required.
• Pass a physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, fingerprint for criminal background and complete a reference check.
