Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Part-Time 3rd Shift

Location: Cedarbrook Senior Living

Summary: Under the supervision of a Registered and/or Practical Nurse, performs various care activities for seniors in a long-term care environment. Assists residents with dressing, bathing, eating, and other daily activities. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and vital signs, but does not administer intravenous fluids. Supports nursing staff with procedures and documents resident care services and interactions as needed.

Essential Position Functions:

• Responds to signal lights, bells, or intercom to determine residents’ needs.
• Bathes, dresses, and undresses residents.
• Serves and collects food trays; assists residents requiring help with eating.
• Transports residents or assists with walking.
• Prepares residents for examinations and treatments, assisting as needed.
• Repositions residents to prevent bedsores.
• Changes bed linens, runs errands, and manages visitor interactions.
• Measures and records vital signs and food and fluid intake/output.
• Assists with laundry and housekeeping duties.
• Maintains cleanliness of residents’ rooms.
• Dependable with attendance and punctuality.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education/Experience:

• One-year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months related experience or training, or equivalent.
• Certified Nurse’s Aide certification in Michigan required.
