Unit Bio:
Interested in holidays and weekends off? Want to work with a fun team oriented staff? Enjoy working with independent ambulatory patients who express gratitude for your care? If so, check out our open position in Outpatient IV Therapy! We are seeking a CNA to support our South Portland and Scarborough locations. Shifts start at 7:45 AM and end at 4:15 PM, Monday through Friday. The clinics are closed on weekends and holidays. Main responsibilities of the position include (1) patient care and nursing support - taking weights/vital signs, offering blankets/refreshments, cleaning of infusion chairs between patients (2) supply management - monitoring supply levels and ordering additional supplies as needed, and (3) maintaining regulatory logs/checks of some equipment (AED, eye wash station). Posted position is 36 hours per week, normally achieved by working nine 8 hour shifts in a two week pay period - four 8 hours shifts one week and five 8 hour shifts the other week. However, flexibility exists in final position hours per week, with possibility for more or less days per week if preferred. Does this position sound like you? Summary:
Under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurses and according to defined policies and procedures, performs various service duties and technical tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting patients with basic hygiene and activities of daily living. Specific duties may vary by area of assignment. Consideration of the special needs and behaviors of specific patient populations is required.
The Certified Nursing Assistant II role assists in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect care duties.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
3. Experience: CNA experience 0-6 months. On-the-job training provided.
