Position Summary: SOVAH Martinsville seeks a full-time CNA (7 pm - 7 am), supervised by an RN, to perform basic patient care activities including vital signs, blood glucose, and intake/output monitoring.

• Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in patient conditions to nursing staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in patient rooms and common areas.

Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Skills:

• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work independently.
• Ability to work under stress and take appropriate action.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to respond calmly in emergencies and provide age-appropriate care.

Certifications/Licenses:

• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Registration on the Virginia Board of Nursing Aide Registry required.

Work Experience: Previous patient care experience preferred; successful completion of orientation and competency requirements necessary.
