Job summary

Signature HealthCARE of Monteagle Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our caring team in Monteagle, TN. You will provide direct resident care under licensed supervision, focusing on compassionate, person-centered service.

The ideal candidate holds an active CNA certification in Tennessee, demonstrates strong communication, teamwork, and customer service, and can work independently under pressure to support residents and families 24/7.

Qualifications

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from the state of operation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team under licensed staff.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care under supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
• Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for residents.
• ADLs support within plan of care and state regulations.
• Change bed linens and maintain grooming supplies in resident rooms.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate assistive devices.
• Record vital signs, weights, intake/output, and meals as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents.
• Support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in orientation and training of other staff.
• Other special projects and duties as assigned.

How You Will Make a Difference

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

What You Need To Make a Difference

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
• Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and vendors.
