Job summary

Westminster Suncoast, located near downtown St. Petersburg, seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Medical Tech to join the Assisted Living Center.

The role provides routine daily nursing care to residents under supervision, preserving dignity and ensuring safety, with focus on self-administration of medications and adherence to care procedures. Schedule: full-time, 60-75 hours per week, days vary Sunday-Saturday, every other weekend, 3rd Shift.

Qualifications

• CNA license active in Florida.
• CPR certification active.
• First Aid certification active.
• Experience with older adults in healthcare preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transfers, mobility).
• Document care and observations accurately; monitor vital signs.
• Observe residents’ self-administration of medications and report inconsistencies.
• Maintain infection control standards and safety protocols.
• Ensure beds are made and rooms are clean; assist with meals and hygiene.
• Support the Activities Department in engaging residents in activities.

We are currently searching for a CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA) – MEDICAL TECH (MED TECH) to work in the Assisted Living Center. In this role, the Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for providing assigned residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with nursing care procedures and as directed by supervisor. Preserve residents' dignity, honor resident rights, provide good customer service, communicate appropriately, and adhere to federal and state compliance regulations. Support residents in maintaining independence by observing and documenting self-administration of medications, ensuring compliance with prescribed regimens and safety protocols. This position reports to the Director of Assisted Living.

Schedule: Full-time positions, 60-75 hours per week, Monday – Days vary Sunday-Saturday, Every Other Weekend, 3nd Shift

This position is responsible for:

• Assist patients/residents with Daily Living Activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transfer, ambulation, toileting and other resident needs.
• Ensure the following tasks are completed daily: beds are made; trash has been removed
• from the room, that meals are served to residents and maintain a high level of hygiene in the room.
• Observe and document residents' self-administration of medications, ensuring compliance with prescribed regimens and promptly reporting any irregularities or concerns to the nurse
• Take and record vital signs; report any changes in resident conditions to the nurse.
• Practice Infection Prevention and Control measures in compliance with Federal, State and Facility requirements.
• Document care and observations accurately and completely in ECS flowsheets.
• Conduct routine rounds to ensure safety equipment is in place and functioning.
• Provide timely incontinent care and reposition residents to prevent skin breakdown.
• Assist the Activities Department in engaging residents in planned activities.

Qualifications:

• Active State of Florida Certified Nursing Assistant license
• Active CPR certification
• Active First Aid certification
• Experience working with older adults in a healthcare setting preferred
• Minimum of 6 months experience desirable
