For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering sign-on bonuses for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs):

  • 0 - 1 years of experience is eligible for up to $2,500 (full-time)
  • 1+ years of experience is eligible for up to $4,000 (full-time)

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part-time ANA/CNA position. Bonus amounts are prorated for Part-time hires; per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth employees are ineligible; former employees are ineligible until more than 6 months of separation.

Position Details:

Shift: Full Time, NIGHT Shift

Unit: Med Surg (MS3)

Med Surg 3 (MS3) is a fast-paced 56-bed Adult Medical Surgical Telemetry unit at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford, Maine. The healthcare team provides care to adult complex patient populations from various medical-surgical services including Pulmonary, Renal, Infectious Disease, GI, Cardiac, Hematology/Oncology, and Orthopedics.

Role Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant - Acute Care role assists in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect care duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  3. Experience: Relevant experience preferred.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements: N/A
